Arminianism (and similar religions) was, and still is, a counter to Calvinism. Its foundation is built on personal choice of salvation... and personal sin to remove it. Some loosely-Arminian sects even say we can get and lose salvation multiple times! This book shows that salvation is literally forever and cannot be lost, because salvation is rooted in election by God - and so cannot change.
